Global Secure Layer continues to expand its international network by connecting Australia and the United States via the low latency, transpacific cable owned and operated by Hawaiki Submarine Cable LP.
BRISBANE – October 2, 2020 – Global Secure Layer (GSL), a global IP Transit and DDoS mitigation provider, and Hawaiki Submarine Cable LP are six months into their newly signed international expansion deal. Since signing the agreement, GSL has used the transpacific cable to continue to grow its domestic network by building upon their already extensive peering arrangements in the United States.
Headquartered in Australia, GSL operates a world-class fibre backbone network, providing reliable, secure and low latency solutions to organisations in the Asia-Pacific and North American regions. In addition to transit, GSL has also designed and manage their own global Anycast DDoS mitigation system.
Nathan Harding, Chief Executive Officer for Global Secure Layer said Hawaiki’s ability to provide ultra-low latency was a pivotal factor in GSL selecting the company as one of their international connectivity providers.
“Our clients place a high value on a low latency solution, Hawaiki’s subsea cable allows us to provide ultra-low latency to the United States, meeting the needs of our customers,” said Nathan.
“We needed a world-class fibre network with the lowest latency and Hawaiki was a natural fit for us.”
“As demand for global capacity continues to rise and customers are not bound by physical borders, the deal with Hawaiki has accelerated our growth plans with a rapid trajectory into America on the cards.”
“Hawaiki recognises that network service providers increasingly need agile connectivity services that provide organisations with greater elasticity and an ability to scale in a dynamic market environment,” said Remi Galasso, Chief Executive Officer of Hawaiki.
“We look forward to developing our collaboration with GSL based on our shared vision to deliver the most intelligent and cost-effective internet solutions to low latency customers.”
